I recently had a one-on-one call with Chelsea Pursuits, and if you’re not familiar with her, she helps people become more intentional with their money through realistic budgeting.
What I love is that it’s not about putting yourself on a strict budget for the next 12 months. Instead, it’s about looking ahead to what’s coming up over the next month, a trip, a birthday, a weekend away. and making your money work around the life you actually want to live.
Since she looks at budgets all day long, she also has a really good sense of what people realistically spend. For example, she suggested my grocery budget as one person should be around $450 a month. Left to my own devices, I’m closer to $600, but simply being more intentional has helped me get it down without feeling deprived.
Full disclosure, I’m only on month one, but this budget spreadsheet has quickly become my entire personality. If getting more organized with your finances has been on your list, she’s definitely someone worth checking out.
